Next Time You Want to Try this on Hawker Uncle, Think Twice

Wah lau eh!?!

How many of you got special order and do this when you go to a hawker stall?


On 30 September 2010 morning, Mr Chan Seng Chai went to Telok Blangah Drive Block 79 makan... He asked his wife to order a bowl of fishball noodles, chilli separated from his noodles and for his noodles to be cut.

When his wife told the hawker uncle, Sim Yong Ha, 66, of her requests, Uncle Sim grumbled. So Mr Chan confronted Uncle Sim with a plastic chair. Uncle Sim mai su lang so he grabbed a chopper from his stall to block the chair.

In the end, Uncle Sim chopped off Mr Chan's left hand thumb.
